Clean Hydration On The Go

Whether you're heading out for a camping trip, going on a hike, or simply spending the day exploring with your dog, keeping them hydrated is a must. But remembering to bring water is only half the battle. You need a way for your pup to actually drink it! You have no idea the amount of times I used to make a “bowl” out of my hands, and have the water seep through my fingers in like 2 seconds.

A collapsible food and water bowl is an easy addition to your travel bag. It takes up very little space when folded down, making it convenient to keep in the car, backpack, or camping gear. You can use it for both food and water, giving your dog a familiar place to eat and drink wherever your adventures take you.

You may also come across public water bowls while you're out. While these can certainly be a helpful option when your dog needs water, shared bowls aren't necessarily the cleanest choice. Multiple dogs drinking from the same bowl can introduce bacteria and other contaminants, especially when the bowl isn't cleaned regularly or the water has been sitting out.

That doesn't mean you should ever let your dog go thirsty just to avoid a public bowl. Hydration comes first, especially on hot days or during strenuous activity. But when you have the option, bringing your own fresh water and bowl gives you more control over what your dog is drinking from.

And don't forget to keep that travel bowl clean! Pet bowls can accumulate bacteria and biofilm, so they should be washed regularly, especially after being used outdoors.

A collapsible bowl may be small, but it's one of those things you'll be very glad you packed when your pup needs a drink.
