Even though cars come with a whole bunch of safety features to keep us humans safe, they don’t tend to come with safety features for your doggy outings. This is where a couple minor additions to your car can make a huge difference in your dog’s safety!
Humans are required by law to wear a seatbelt, so I think animals should too! It’s just good logic. They make super simple designs these days that clip right into your normal car seatbelt and hook to your dog’s harness.
I got mine paired with a dog seat cover that has a convenient velcro opening for the seatbelt to click in. A lot of the seat covers these days don’t have an opening, but probably should because, safety first! Plus a seat cover will help keep your car pristine for longer.
A dog seat belt isn’t something a lot of people even know exists, but it truly can make the difference between an emergency and safety for your furry friend. I cannot recommend getting one enough.
