It’s a fact: some dogs are simply meant to be in the water and swim with ease, while others struggle. It’s not their fault, they just have a lot less buoyancy!
Now does that mean your dog shouldn’t go in the water if that’s what they want? Absolutely not!! It just means they might need some help staying afloat.
Realistically, all dogs (even the strong swimmers) should have a floatation device when swimming. If they get caught in a current, swim for too long, get tired, or any other possible risk with swimming, a life jacket will keep them afloat and alive!
